There are many challenges when travelling (especially extensively) with your kids. But the main concerns that most parents have are to do with education, socialization, safety, and finding a sense of community. With Nomadic Family Homes, we do our best to remove as many of these challenges as possible, making finding safe and supportive housing easy, with spaces and services compatible with distance learning methodologies (such as Unschooling and World-Schooling) all rolled into a family-exclusive residence to promote community among the nomadic family demographic.

Studies have shown that children who are exposed to diverse cultures and learning environments develop better critical thinking and social skills. In fact, children who participate in Unschooling and World-schooling methodologies perform better than children in standard education institutions. They are encouraged to be excited about learning, because they experience what they are learning first hand through site visits, travel, and social interactions with all types of people and cultures.

The nomadic family demographic requires a unique architectural strategy in order to adequately support their growing community. Our ambition is to attempt to establish a symbiotic and mutually beneficial condition between these travelers and the local urban fabrics which they explore. This is achieved by inflecting local typologies to accommodate the nomadic families' unprecedented programme and lifestyle.
